Some supplements sold for erectile dysfunction (ED) contain ingredients that are the same or similar to Viagra and Levitra. The FDA has found these compounds in Zimaxx, Libidus, Neophase, Nausutra, Vigor-25, Actra-Rx, and 4Everon. This could be a problem for men on nitrates (they are at increased risk of MI’s) who think these products are a safe alternative to the prescription drug. So even though these supplements might be a more affordable way to get Viagra it may not be safe.
Bottom line – check with your doctor if you are taking nitrates for heart disease and you want to try a natural product for ED
