Over the last several years there has been numerous studies published in medical journals and lay magazines of the benefits of wine. This has led many people to believe that it is good to drink wine so they will consume 1-2 glasses of wine at dinner time. However, one study that took PET scans of drinkers and non-drinkers found that the brain of those who drank wine daily were smaller than the group that did not.
Now when it comes to the brain size does matter. We need to protect our brains! This can be done by avoiding toxic substances like alcohol, drugs, nicotine, caffeine and many meds. Also we need to get enough sleep. Less than 7 hours of sleep decreases brain blood flow.
