I have known Louise for 5-6 years now. She is the type of person that spends a lot of time worrying about her family which consists a daughter and son and recently widowed father. So when she comes in for a routine acupuncture treatment or for just feeling under the weather, we spend a couple minutes talking about her family.
Yesterday when she came in she reported on her recent trip up to Washington to visit her 85 year old father. Before she could get settled in he asked her to help him put an ad in the paper. The ad read – “wanted 35-75 year old woman to shop, cook, clean house, do laundry and sleep with me. Must be good driver. Pay $2,000/month.” Her first response, after recovering from the shock was, “Dad you can’t run this ad! You will have women lined up down the street!” She was finally able to reach a compromise with him and placed an ad in E-Harmony. The only problem is he is now calling her wanting to know when he will get a response.
